I think there are two great litmus tests for what kind of person somebody is.

1. If your dog doesn't like them the first time they meet; RED FLAG!
2. If the person doesn't like bacon; RED FLAG! Not as severe as your dog not liking them, but still gotta keep an eye on them for shady behavior.

 

Today is maple thick cut followed by camping eggs... Basically a lazy omelette where a bunch of shit is mixed together and half assed omelette presented.

 

We do that with taco meat. Sausage sometimes but we use breakfast cooking as our slow roll to wake up and enjoy time. Especially now with the baby before we are chasing a toddler. We will precooked bacon if it's used for another meal like on burgers or something.

But I do advocate, especially for newer campers... Precook... Save the headache.

LOL, they got mixed more than that. My wife likes her eggs murdered so I flip slower to make a roll type omelet. Then cut into pieces for everyone.

 

Ok, so what does "murdered" mean in this context?

 

Zero runny anything. Overcooked.

 

Just got back from the grocery store. $95 for 18 items. Fruit, eggs, yogurt, lunchmeat, couple other things... If it was just luxury items suffocating everyone, that'd be one thing.

 

There are many things I think you are right on, this is not one of them.

The wife saw how much our tax return is this year and started talking about a bathroom reno until I reminded her that she wants a new washing machine (and thus dryer), the Corolla needs a few things, the driveway needs to be mud jacked, the roof is at most a couple years from needing to be reshingled and we never did the basement reno we got quoted a couple years ago to redo the HVAC so it isn't 58 degrees down there all the time.

I have good reason.

 

A few weeks ago I posted a question about two career paths open to me...the first was "stay the course" and the other was a move to a new division within the company (still in Seattle).

Had a sit-down today with the hiring manager for the new group. He's an amazing dude and I've worked with him in the past. He described a job that would be a perfect fit for me and a great growth opportunity. I was kinda caught off guard how good it sounded.

So...lots of hurdles still to clear and it might take 4-6 months to work it out since even budget isn't approved...but it looks promising.

 

Well, I hope he's not blowing smoke or wasting your time. I also hope you don't lose out to fill a quota. I've seen good people who are the best candidate get passed over in order to check a box, and nothing makes a good employee stop caring quite like getting screwed over will.

 

Nothing is official until it's official...so we shall see

 

I am looking forward to it if I can find a 2.5 gen again.
