Drivers seat leg extender button not working?

On my 1794 2022 model the switch that extends out lower seat part doesn’t work anymore?
Anyone fixed this on their own or do I have have to make an appointment at dealer and get fixed under warranty? Thanks. D

There's been at least one thread on this.

One guy claimed turning on the seat fan caused his thigh support to start working again, but that could have been coincidence.

 

MIne stopped working about 4 months ago. Ended up taking to the dealer and fixed it under warranty. They said it was a common issue.

 

Did they say what causes the problem?

 

I've had this issue. I press the button and I can hear the motor clicking but it sounds like mechanically something is keeping the cushion from moving.

Rapid pressing the button sometimes gets it to work. Of course ever time I take it to the stupid ass dealer they hammer press the button and then they say "we can't recreate the issue because it's moving now"

 

Happened to me one time at around 35,000 miles. I just pulled on the extender with my right hand and kept clicking the button with my left hand (while driving) and it just started to work again and hasn’t failed again since. 2 years. 52,000 miles.

 

Mine did it. 3000 miles. Never used it since I purchased the truck. Like the other poster, pulled on it with my right hand while I hammered the open button a dozen times or so, working fine again.

 

Does the button not work or does it work but all you hear is the noise feel the vibration? It’s a screw I believe that is the fix if the button is working but nothing is happening. They fixed my under warranty but watch out as they scratched my center console thing when they did it

 

For mine, pushing the button was engaging the electronics/mechanicals, but not moving anything, like it was jammed.
