Anyone got a rear bumper that retains the factory spare tire location that they like? Just not sure I want a swing out for a spare.

Have the RCI Arapaho front bumper

Fair, Then lets say a bumper that will fit a 34" tire (295/70r18) in the stock spare location.

Ueah I had that size under there. just had to cut off the spare tire tabs to fit the 295s. nothing to do with the bumper.20210715_144410.jpg

I get that. Already planning on it. Some after market bumpers have supports and a new trailer hitch mounted that interfere with with spare tire location.

C4 uses the stock hitch reciever. Btw a sawzall cuts through the tabs like a hot knife thru butter. then a grinder wheel to smooth the edges and spay some rustoleum.

There are 2 rivets holding each tab in place. I drilled out the rivets, pushed the tabs out and used a single bolt to hold each tab in place. Helps to keep my 35” spare centered.

Ok so I read pretty much all 1151 post. I believe i narrowed it down to a SOB or RCI front bumper no bar. Is there any plus or minus with ethier?

As the owner/operator/lead fabricator at SOB Fabrication I say you can't do wrong with ours! But RCI makes nice stuff as well. Aesthetics is probably the biggest deciding factor between the two. Or you could always go all in and get our high clearance front and really stand out.

Whats up Travis nice to see the owner of a companyis active in the forum. RCI is running 20% off which is steering me towards them. Also you guys don't have full skid plates correct?

We really don't do any skids, it's one of those things that there isn't much we can do much to innovate and be drastically different so we don't try to chase sales with them.

It's just me and one guy so we try not to spread ourselves too thin..

Did the bumper come pre-cut to fit those SS5 pods?

Good news people that have been waiting for it, Coastal Offroad has come out with their new high clearance rear bumpers for the 2nd and 2.5 gen Tundras. Check them out at the link below and use code SOCALTOYOTAS for 5%. Maybe we will get a group buy going for them if there is enough interest.

    2nd gen:

    2.5 gen:

They also added sliders as well:
