And damn it wasn’t as hard as I thought it was going to be. I’ve always kept it clean to begin with so the paint correction wasn’t needed. That seems to be where most of the process goes. I’ve had enough of the spray ceramic detailers that lasts at best, 3-5 days.

Washed, clay bar, iron remover, prep spray then Crystal Serum. Maybe 4 hrs total. Had some left over and did the rims also. Very impressed by CS and how easy it went on and off. Even in the FL heat (in the garage) you have ample time to get a large area covered while it flashes. Also, the Duracoat on the tires is still shiny as ever after a month.

I’ve been doing my own coating since 2018, right after I bought the truck. It’s easier when it’s new. And it’s a lot easier to maintain and reapply when needed. Its really not that hard to do either.

At the minimum, I would have polished it before locking it in with ceramic

Well done. I'm always nervous it'll be ugly when I'm done so I stick to the paste wax

I use a cheap yet effective ceramic spray wax. I don't even like this brand overall but it works great. Turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray.

It truly lasts 3+ months. You can see the water beading off every car wash for months.

They claim 6 months but I don't wait that long to wax again.

Why Crystal Serum version did you use? Light or Ultra?
