Hey everyone. I’m not sure why I haven’t joined a group like this before as it is clear that all of you are at least as much of a Tundra enthusiast as I am, and probably more so! Anyway, I’m looking forward to interacting with all of you as I have seen some pretty good info here so far! I’ve attached a couple photos of my 05 Tundra here. Add ons include 2.5” OME leveling lift, ARB air lockers front and rear and Badland hidden winch.

Curious as to whether you removed the chrome piece on the front bumper or left it in place before you painted it. I’m installing a black rear bumper then painting the side mirrors to color match the truck. That chrome piece on the front will be the finishing touch to remove all of the chrome accents.

So I did what you are doing sort of. I bought a paint to match factory rear bumper and had it painted (had to change out the tow receiver though as it’s different apparently from the chrome bumper receiver hitch). I bought aftermarket mirrors that were paint to match and had them painted as well. Swapped out the grille to the TRD pro style grille and then when I removed my bumper cover for the winch install I just took that chrome piece off and wrapped it in some matte black vinyl. I’ve done quite a bit of work to this truck (body work and paint, replaced both bumpers, spray in bed liner, all new lamps, grille, mirrors, all new bumper and bed trim, window trim. Next up is the interior. Plan to replace the carpet, new door trim panels and reupholster the seats. Truck runs like a champ, only have one issue with the fuel tank that no one seems to know anything about.
