    Hey everyone,

Hoping someone here has run into this and can point me in the right direction.

I’m trying to hook up a Furrion pre-wired backup camera to my 2024 R-Pod travel trailer, which I’m towing with a 2016 Tundra. The system is advertised as “Plug and Play,” but so far… I’ve plugged, and there’s zero play.

Here’s what I’ve got so far:The camera and monitor do work—I tested them using the included cigarette lighter power cord and test connector. Everything powers up, pairs, and the image is clear.

But when I connect the camera to the pre-wired mount on the back of the trailer, nothing happens. The blue LED on the camera doesn’t even light up, so it’s clearly not getting power.

    To troubleshoot:

    • I bought the official Furrion 7-way power adapter to ensure the trailer could pull 12V from the truck since the camera requires it.
    • Tried putting the Tundra in reverse and cycling through all light/headlight settings.
    • Still nothing—no power to the camera, and the monitor doesn’t pair.
    • I haven’t checked the fuse yet because I’m not sure which one might be tied to the trail 7-pin receptacle.

Has anyone dealt with this before—especially with a Tundra setup? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

The rear camera is normally wired to one of the marker lights in the back. Since the camera didn't power up with your lights on I would make sure your lights on camper work and check for power to camera back there.

I had same trouble until I figured out I needed to turn truck's lights on.

    Hi,

All the lights are on and I made sure to turn all the lights, but no luck. The only thing I have not done yet is check the voltage to the plug where the camera connects to. I know the camera needs 12v to power up.
