Just curious to know if anyone has had any funky issues in their Tundra’s since installing a set of Alpharex Headlights. I installed the Nova’s and after a few days had a “Stop & Start System Malfunction” alert come up and my local dealer doesn’t seem to find the issue….

These look great but the reason I haven’t gotten them is because of all of the issues I have read about them. The dealer would not even install them for me.

I know that’s not a lot of help and I wish you luck in finding a solution because it seems to be getting more and more difficult with all of the tech these days.

What kind of issues? Hopefully they are plug and play so easy to install yourself? I wouldn’t want them because I think you lose the up and down adjustment

Google Alpharex Nova and read a few reddits.

Had to send back my first set as I had one headlight that was basically DOA. Bad harness vs something internal, dunno what it was.

Return process was easy and was sent a new set right away. New set installed and no issues in the past two months.

for the OP: I would look at where you fused them in and if in the same spot they recommend.

    My review overall for them:

pros: nice startup sequence, projector lights (I have the Novas), fit and finish close to OEM.
Cons: I really don’t think the lighting is better than OEM, on par maybe but definitely NOT better IMO. I had to adjust the headlights up quite a bit and the manual headlight adjustments that were on my OEMs did not work on the alpharex. The amount of adjustment could be due to me having a sport so I’m slightly lower in front though. The wiring is an absolute ball of cluster fuck. I hate having wiring that isn’t clean and there are just way too many adapters and control boxes that are external which makes for unsightly install IMO. Additionally, not sure why they have two spots needed to add a fuse to as you can consolidate that to one to avoid redundancy. Another thing I noticed is that when the DRLs are off, the turn signals will trigger the initiation sequence on both sides of the headlights. Looks a bit odd IMO.

I know there’s another aftermarket headlight coming to market soon and if I was looking for an upgrade now, I’d honestly wait if doing all over. Are the alpharex lights better looking than my OEM reflector housings, yes absolutely. Am I happy with the purchase, sorta. Would I buy them again, nah

I have had them on for about 9 months not one issue. I had a shop install them, because I knew I would mess up something. To many wires for me.
