Don't you run a stock intake setup? If so it's already boost referenced since it's seeing boost.

It’s already setup that way. The FPR is tee’d into the main vac line coming from behind the TB.

Define stock intake setup. If you are talking about the intake manifold then yes, stock.

Turbo vs SC reference points. Got it.

Im thinking we adjust fueling off boost for the higher PSI fuel pressure and just leave it. Since we can get it to run 100% either way, why add the complexity of a switch and potentially an additional maintenance / failure point.

Damn you @centex I was set on just doing a Maggy but you had to mention this thread. After reading the whole thing over the last few days my old ways are coming back. I’ve never owned a SC and was thinking it would be a nice change, I built a turbo sport bike in the early 00’ and spent a good bit of years in the diesel performance world, and I think my old ways may flare up again.

I cut my teeth in the diesel world also. Back in 01 when it was a fringe movement. Something about a single 72 spooling to 60psi just does something to you.

It does indeed. If you ever spent any time around the track at Marion, I was the guy who broke this truck regularly… billet shafts couldn’t keep up with me trying to cut lights
    IMG_3475.jpg

I also managed to blow this bike up at the 8th mile mark but was pulling just behind a Busa, not bad for a stock length 600, but I got greedy with the boost.

Never Marion. Did run at Little River a few times. P-Pump swapped 24v, Hamilton Cam, S472, DTT full billet, etc.

    Solid setup, sounds very familiar.

I never ran anything up there, but went with a buddy for his C10 one night, cool track.

So as to not clog up the SC Thread too much, I moved the stock intake manifold discussion here:

Background: I'm looking for a replacement stock manifold to replace my "steam cleaned" original. A question came up about what I had planned that would require a second manifold.

Negative. From what I read (very brief, part of a different search), porting these things yield negligible gains.

Another 400 mile road trip done. 12.5-13mpg. Got to hot rod it for some work colleagues and they were impressed. Doing another 400 miles this weekend. Truck is driving great. Bumping the pressure up really made a big difference in how it drives. It’s much more responsive and the turbo comes on even better. To say I’m happy is an understatement. I’m gonna let it go for another week then bump the boost up a bit more. For now I’m just enjoying driving it.

Additionally, I watched some videos on YouTube comparing the old dragy with the new one, where the new version showed faster results and smoother graphics, confirming higher accuracy.

6.5-6.8. And it’s happy at that. Ran it through three gears and AFR’s with meth we’re solid 11.6.

6.7psi got me a 5.21s 0-60 time. It's a bunch of fun and super safe. Enjoy it! Sounds good, pulls hard, faster than many.

I’m not done yet. If the supercharger folks are running 12-14psi I see no reason we can’t hit 8-10psi. I’m for sure going to finish up in the 7’s. Just busy right now and no time to test.

Ordered the 2 elbows to make the full bypass. Wondering if you used any fipg sealant or rubber ring to prevent leaks?

You need two o-rings on the threaded side. 90301-11030 I just used some that were the size of the o-rings from the puck and those could be reused too.

Another 800 miles in 5 days. Been enjoying the power. I absolutely love the boost solenoid control from the scg1. I leave it off and still get 3.5-4psi which is fun for most things but its low enough I can throw the keys to my wife or whoever and I don’t have to worry about it.

Still kicking around adding more boost but I’m curious to see how @TurboKits testing is going on their 2016 truck and what they’ve found for limits.
