I'm so inept with console controllers, I died in my first scuffle in Ragnarok. Threw the controller down and peaced out

 

For sure! I've gotten better, but there are times when I wonder if I keep playing, if my TV manufacturer will accept a claim that a controller lodged into the TV screen that I accidentally threw should be covered under warranty.

 

Oh, it's definitely easier. Probably better to say that due to various time demands (work, church stuff, renovating stuff in the house, raising a kid, etc., blah blah), I'd just rather take the path of least resistance. I can totally handle it - and yeah, PnP and HCLs and the like have made things orders of magnitude easier, that is for sure. But still. LOL Maybe I'm just lazy.

 

I get that. I didn't get a lot of time when my kids were growing up, either, and for the same reasons, and I've always been a DIY'er and stay active. I'd probably be in the same boat if I didn't hate playing with a controller so much. That far outweighs any laziness that I have lol. So that's really the driving factor for me to remain on PC as I much prefer kb/mouse over a controller. I feel like I'm wearing a straight-jacket when I use a controller. I'll only play exclusives on console, and PC for everything else, which is 90% of my gaming. And of course, graphics and high fps/refresh, too! I like the pretty stuff. I also can't play super ultra-wide (32:9 aspect) on a console.

 

If anyone wants to play Witcher and never has, now's your chance.

 

Wife got me this mouse pad for Father's Day as well as a gift card to Zero Foxtrot. This is probably the biggest mouse pad I've ever seen/had.

How’s the new NCAA football game?

 

It’s an EA football game. If you’ve played those you know what to expect. I’m enjoying it, but it’s not breaking any new ground.

 

Just entered the Mistlands in Valheim the other day. It's nuts! Anyone else playing? Ashlands is even crazier but I'll wait a good minute before I set foot in that hell hole. Been lone wolfing it up until recently when I found a German guy to party with. He's at about the same progression level as me so we jive well.

 

gotcha, curious if dynasty and road to glory are worth getting the game?

I’m right there with you on Destiny and Halo 5, those two always hit the spot when it comes to classic FPS fun on Xbox. For me, my PC time has been all about Escape from Tarkov lately. It’s brutal, but there's something so satisfying about the intensity of each raid. I started using a few tarkov cheats here and there to help me get through some of the tougher situations, and it’s definitely added a bit of an edge to my sessions.

 

Anyone here an Eve Online or X4 fan?

Eve since 2012, X4 since release.

 

A year ago if I had a gaming PC I'd be in Eve Online, but the bug faded. I'll probably make the leap to PC in a year or two for Ashes of Creation when it comes out, though.

Only time I play video games is when I go on vacation. If I'm on a flight, or sitting on the balcony after the wife goes to sleep, Ill usually bust out my Nintendo Switch and play some Tony Hawk's Pro Skater or GTA. I don't really try to beat the games, I more or less dick around for fun.
