Corporate idiocy? Seems a nobrainer to at least offer it on higher trims. Our 2019 Sequoias base trim SR5's have Torsen t-case standard. They have 2wd, then 4HI is fulltime Torsen with locking center diff, then 4LO.

2G Sequoia is a Tundra from front bumper to the C pillar. Why they couldn't or wouldn't put the Torsen into the Tundra is mind boggling.

Possibly current Torsten not built for 11K# towing?

I always wondered this myself. There had to be a reason and that’s as good as any I suppose.

I was thinking the same. The worldwide LC300 is rated at 7700 lbs (3500kgs) tow capability.

I dearly love the Torsen, don't need 10k tow capacity. To each their own, would be nice if Toyota offered Torsen in the lineup.

What about the Speedmaster TorqueWorm Helical, might that be strong enough?

I also really liked the Torsen, had an Eaton Truetrac in a Dakota that made the world of difference for light off road and towing work. It's rather far down the list of modifications for my current '17 Tundra but a Torsen is on the list. I would be interested in the comparison between the Eaton and the Speedmaster.

Edit: seems I misunderstood. I didn't realize the thread was talking about the center diff/transfer case in regards to Torsen LSDs. My bad.
