Same. I'm also a big fan of pb on bagels. Speaking of, we go through peanut butter at our house like mad.

 

Can anyone recommend a good peanut butter that:
A) isn't LOADED with sugar
B) doesn't have the consistency of 3 day old wallpaper paste
C) creamy or nutty, I'm good with either.

Don't get cute with that last one.

 

To follow up here, when you use the word evasive, I became triggered. Especially since it was the third or fourth time you had asked the same questions. You may have just been asking questions trying to understand more about my motives but what I said was about someone else, so I wasn't about to explain myself to anyone else but that someone in particular.

I tore that shit up back in 1998-2001 when I was trying to gain weight.

I eat the "skippy natural" stuff. Most PB's have 7 grams of sugars per serving and I think the naturals have half that, iirc. I did see that jif, and a few other brands are now making a zero sugar pb but I haven't tried them either. I've had the Adams zero sugar added stuff and I can't stand having to mix the oils back into the sludge.

Bottom line for me us that it has to be crunchy.

It was a public accusation so I figured a public explanation/clarification was a reasonable request. Different story if you'd made the claim via PM.

 

We use JIF Natural. I keep a jar at the station as well and it keeps me away from the normal firehouse junk food when I need a snack.

Honestly, the Kirkland brand Peanut Butter from Costco is the best I've ever had. Price is really good for a 2 pack as well.

well there's about 5 turtles out there at any given time.

and we aren't there right now....so nobody to scare them.

 

I occasionally buy my wife the smallest container of cream cheese I can find, she'll eat about half of it then I throw the rest out once it goes past the best before date and resolve never to buy it again.

She also says best before dates are fake and can be ignored but refuses to eat leftovers that have been in the fridge longer than 24 hours.

 

I'll settle for a crunchy peanut butter that isn't actually smooth with a peanut or two thrown on top.
