Sunset Bronze - I honestly can't decide

There is a really nice 1794 Sunset Bronze Tundra for sale near me. I've looked at this thing over and over and over and I honestly can't decide if I like the color. I know color preference is 100% subjective and personal, but is this color generally considered desirable among the Tundra community? I plan to keep this truck for many years, but don't want to end up with a color that would be hard to sell if I ever wanted to.

It will get a ton of compliments from strangers because it is not that common of a color. Especially when the sun hits it.

I’ve had many people ask me if it a wrap or custom paint.

I will say the color “changed” once I blacked out all the chrome and ditched the chrome wheels for black ones.

    IMG_2072.jpg

Either way. Good luck with your decision.

WHOA, that looks amazing!! Is it expensive to swap out the chrome grill for the one in your photo? I think the chrome is one thing bugging me, it feels just ike the base 2007 SR5 I had for years. I also can't decide if the 1794 interior matches the truck, but I do love it.

The bumpers are covered with BumperShellz covers. The grill is an OEM Platinum Grill and hood bulge. Then bought a used Pro insert.

So yes the front end transformation wasn’t cheap. But it was well worth it, in my opinion.

Your truck looks amazing, great work! I think I'd prefer Platinum over 1794 but they seem to be even more rare around here.

The sunset bronze looks better than the mesquite to me. And that color was made for the 1794.

I pulled the trigger and brought it home. The color is quickly growing on me and I love the 1794 interior.

Congrats and welcome! Sharp looking truck. I just got the OE TRD 18" wheels (machine surface) and had them refinished and powder coated black. Dropping the 20" OE rims next tire swap

I like 'em both. They are both knockouts in bright sun.
But....The Smoked Mesquite is a slightly darker shade and I give the edge to the Sunset Bronze too. It is THE color for a 1794 in my mind.

    CONGRATS! Beautiful truck.

@Boisefly, That is a great looking truck you have! I likely won't do any mods outside of replacing the head unit with an Apple Car play system. I am leaning toward one of the floating designs if I don't cheap out and go with the smaller built-in look. At least I am telling my CFO wife that I don't plan to do much to the truck :)

The interior is probably the single biggest reason I bought my 1794. Good luck with the new truck.

I almost bought a 1794 in that color. But found a 2018 with less than 21,000 miles in MGM. AND the interior in amazing

You don’t see this color a lot. I think it’s one of the best, personally. The way different light changes it is special. I had it in a 2017 SR5. Getting rid of the chrome makes a big difference.

on the 2017 interior, I love the seats but I hate wood grain. That’s the only downside to that interior for me. I’d have to change that out. Otherwise it’s a great color combo!

I have a 2014 Sunset Bronze Mica…best color in my opinion. Not many around, good choice.

Deleted all the chrome, swapped the grill, etc.
