Don’t know how this ties in with ditch lights, but was relevant to previous post.

Exactly. I've never had aux lights of any sort get me a ticket on any car, truck, or motorcycle, but I also don't do the whole "Look at me" thing or run them when on the street. The only one likely to give a rip is the fellow doing your inspection and he only cares because he has to cover his ass.

I don’t remember ever having to do an “inspection “ in CA other than emissions. And in el Centro emissions were waived as it being an agricultural area.
Now in VA, state inspection yearly, emissions every 2 yrs.
Just re registered wife’s car (AZ) until 2030, easy peasy.

No emissions testing out here in western Va. As for inspections... I've been know to get one now and then. I think the longest I ever went without getting one was 6 years. I've been doing my own maintenance on vehicles since I was a kid and don't like having to waste 1/2 a day to pay someone who will know less about the vehicle I'm driving than I do tell me it's fine and give me a sticker. I know it's fine! I maintain it. LOL.
