I have a 2016 Tundra that has the Scout GPS option. I learned that Scout is no longer in business, and I was wondering if there is a way to download android auto to the truck so that I can use Waze.

I figured that if it was possible, somebody here would know how to do it. I haven't spent much time on this forum yet, but I am amazed with what I have seen thus far. You folks are pretty talented!

    Thanks in advance!

Replacing the head unit with something newer that has gps/android auto or can interface with a cell phone is about your only option.

Yea I think 2020 was first year of android auto in tundra radios, the cost of trying to make a 2020 head unit work in an older 2.5 is astronomical compared to a simple head replacement.

Android auto requires a full hardware upgrade. Can’t be done via software update.
