Is the master cylinder upgrade necessary on certain models or what?

I currently don’t have any pics, but i mounted my Wilwood adjustable prop valve under the dash on my old Ford highboy flatbed. The only reason i installed it there is because i constantly adjust it depending up just how much weight i’m hauling.

EDIT: here’s a pic that shows where i fit my prop valve. I used -3 stainless braided hose that goes from the brake master cylinder directly to the prop valve.

Pay no attention to the current disrepair of the interior of the truck. I’m finishing up my 12 valve Cummins swap and i currently have the dash removed so that i can refill it back up with Autometer gauges.

Hello, I'm looking to make this upgrade for my fathers 2001 Toyota Sequoia.

Where can I find the OEM 14WA Calipers? Does anyone have the part number?

I've been to both the Toyota and Lexus dealers asking to buy the 2015+ 4Runner caliper and the 2010+ Lexus GX460 caliper, but both say 14WB on the caliper.

My understanding is that the 14WB has 14mm bolt holes while the 14WA has 12mm bolt holes.

Below are the part numbers coming back with 14WB calipers.
    Product ID: 47730-60300
    Product ID: 47750-60300

TRQ has calipers with 12mm bolt holes but I'd prefer to go OEM as I don't know the quality of TRQ.

It seems the consensus is to mill 3.5mm off? (the tread has, 3, 3.25, and 3.5mm listed)

Thank you! Stock breaks suck so I'm very excited for this enhancement.

Welp, I went to good 'ol Google and typed in the most logical thing I could. And I got this, two things actually, more comments after this picture.

That 2nd one links back to this thread, where I found the following quote, which seems to answer the dilemma you're experiencing:

A little ways along from there, I found this nugget of clarification. Again, in this same thread, it seemed like a great clarification that would help most people figure it out.

Still not satisfied with that answer. I took to Google again - knowing the part number would always start with 47730 and 47750 - I typed: 47750 47730 "12mm"

It returned this thread at Tundras.com sister site, TacomaWorld, to this specific reply from @Dalandser: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-2nd-gen-tacomas.504234/page-16#post-23961800

    upload_2025-4-11_20-14-0.png

That didn't jibe with what I'm seeing in one or two other places, so finally, I was curious to know more so I went to the Toyota-4runner.org forum and found the following which may answer the question in another way... and given the 14WB and 14WA are both 338mm, as are the 13WH, it would appear as if, due to availability, the 13WH is actually the better upgrade here. BUT WHILE IT'S PROBABLY SIMILAR, IT MAY NOT BE IDENTICAL IN HOW YOU MACHINE, SO YOU MAY BE IN NEW, UNCHARTED TERRITORY.

I'd be interested if you go there (13WH upgrade). But if your problem with your dad's vehicle is shitty braking, there's a very real, confident chance it's because someone is unaware of how to properly bleed and adjust the rear brakes. It's such a humongous-ass, persistent problem we have an entire sticky thread dedicated to the subject and people STILL fuck it up. Granted, I think your '01 has discs rear, no?

    upload_2025-4-11_20-18-12.png
But I also gotta ask, why the fuck don't you just do the 13WL upgrade which is a bolt-on, no mill/machine upgrade?!?!??!

    (Just curious)

    :duh:
