Do it. Save the other 35lb strut for later, when the other gets worn out.
    That's what I'm doing

I have the Valvomax Oil Drain Plug on three vehicles and it works fine. None of those vehicles have a skid plate. I think yours will be fine. :)

    ****

Today I did my first oil change and filter on the new-to-me Tundra. Had to use a 15 inch breaker bar on the oil drain plug.....ugh....bought it used and I think the previous owner's "mechanic" was um, not the be at being a mechanic. LOL

Tired of my antenna being 1ft taller than my roofline and scraping up my new garage doors. Was going to cut my stock antenna, but then I saw and ordered this, from Votex: https://votex-us.com/A461-TTY-15

Will report back, supposed to be 23" tall versus the OEM which is 31" tall. Gives me that extra 8" needed.

I fixed a large crack in my wheelbarrow with flex seal. I'm not sure how much weight it will hold up, but we will see now that it's yard work season.

You think I should've popped the cap?
Maybe, never crossed my mind. But it was already a little low on coolant from the leak, because I hadn't (and still haven't) topped it off.
I also read that JB Weld makes a formula specifically for radiators, but I just used the stuff I had on hand in the garage already. Either way, the new radiator should show up today, although I have my doubts. Apparently it's shipping from a Rock Auto warehouse in Houston. So like an hourish away from me. But FedEx has yet to receive the package. So maybe tomorrow.

Edit: oh yours have zerks. Nice. I wish my SPCs did.

When the day comes to re-geease my control arms, I think I'll add zerks to the Solos and SPCs. Or buy the greasable cam bolts and drill holes in my bushings.

TC says to do it every like every 30k, but since the wheels were off and it’s not hard…. Besides, any excess comes out the bolt side anyway so it would be difficult to over fill them

Anything I should look out for when checking out a replacement truck bed? I found one that is the same color as mine, but bedlined and dent free. It also is coming with a free tonneau cover. I'm planning to pick it up on Sunday or Monday along with two bucket seats and center console.

The spray-in bedliner will be tore up when you remove the bed. The companies typically spray over the bed bolts and it strips a hole around the bolts. It's only a cosmetic issue and you can just get a can of raptor liner to spray back over the bolts.

It's got some dents around the taillights that cause the taillights to not mount correctly. And yes, a bit of rust in the bed from stuff stuck under the bedliner the previous owner had. The quote I got to fix mine started around $600. Then you add another $5-600 for bedliner. If this bed is in great shape then it will be quite a bit cheaper to just swap; especially if I can recoup a couple hundred bucks for my bed.

Here are the dents on my bed. They are matching on both sides.

I always thought they were buckets. I'm ditching my bench seat and getting a proper center console.
Bed comes with tailgate and tonneau cover. Not sure on the brand but I might be listing it for sale once I make sure its in good condition.

Just completed interior refresh, do it once every 25 years whether she needs it or not..
Pulled the front seats and had the seat bases redone. Foam refreshed and reupholstered. The front seat backs and rear seat were still in good shape. Pulled the carpet while the seats were worked on and cleaned it since it wasn't worn, just stained with coffee spills and such. To keep the insulation attached to the bottom of the carpet in good shape, the carpet was placed on a clean garage floor, then used a scrub brush and a can of carpet cleaner. The carpet was only moist at this point and the bottom was still dry. Then it was Hung vertically and power washed. The dirty and soapy water flowing out was initially coffee colored. It was left hanging to drip dry. It was dry in less than 24 hours. It is now stain free. The insolation underlayment looked the same as when pulled, it never was saturated due to the rubber carpet base the underlayment is attached to.
