Sorry if this is wrong section to ask these questions. Delete if needed. This is my new to me 2007 Tundra Limited double cab 4x4 5.7.

Does anyone know what kind of headlights these are? Are they from another Toyota or Lexus vehicle or completely aftermarket? The led strip at the very top by the amber light have 2 rows of 6 lights. They are activated by a separate aftermarket switch. Each enclosure has two “rings” around the actual headlight bulb that come on pretty dim with a separate aftermarket switch.

if they are from another Toyota vehicle, maybe they had to be rewired to a separate switch possibly because it wasn’t on stock to turn the lights on on and off or Auto.

they had lights themselves are not very bright. They are obviously not a high intensity light bulb. At first, I thought it was just me, but then had a buddy drive it and made the same comment that they just don’t seem as bright as they should be. could’ve just be the height of the truck is causing this? Or maybe these came out of a completely different vehicle and just are not getting power they need? Either way it just seems like a lot to have to do to turn on a light. The main switch for the headlights which I can’t leave and Auto and Does work but if I want either of the other lights on, I have to use two separate switches and they really only put out enough light for decoration. I don’t think either of the two additional lights, the LED strips or the circular lights are bright enough for daytime running lights, although that could be what one of them was meant for. I’m considering getting two new headlights to replace these if there’s something available out there and I am open to suggestions. Any help good or bad would be appreciated. I will add these bulbs are not dim enough as if they were beginning to go out or stop working. May be this time for some type of high intensity upgrade.IMG_0122.jpg

Must be peculiar to Limited trucks, or aftermarket. Here's what my stock 2wd SR5 07 lights look like.

Definitely aftermarket. Are they aimed properly? Are they halogen bulbs? They are projector housings, so should be able to use any bulb with good light output and get a decent pattern. They are likley optimized for HID or Halogen though vs LED bulbs.

They appear to be aimed properly. A buddy and I were testing distances last night compared to another vehicle unfortunately much lower to the ground. These just don’t seem to be as bright in general. I’ll pull the bulbs today and see if I’m n get any more info. That is the one thing I hate about buying used, you never know exactly what the previous owner has done. I have looked at other vehicles and haven’t seen anything similar, yet. Someone on a different forum made a comment that he loved the ????? lights. I didn’t think much of it until now. I’ll have to try and find that comment, he seemed to know what they came off of. But with so many posts, I don’t remember where I had seen this. Thanks for the info so far.
