There was a change in the manufacturing process. Exactly what or how, I don't quite know. However, that change led to the surface of the ball portion to become scratched causing premature excessive wear on the joint leading to failure.

The picture I posted is Left-eye...Andre Rison is a wide receiver that played for many teams back in the 90's most notably with Deion Sanders on ATL.

Found a puddle of coolant at the bottom of my fan shroud. I'm guessing I have a pin hole in the radiator somewhere

Just fix it right, man. Radiator isn't that hard to change out. New hoses and spring clamps too to set you up for success.

What's wrong with the stop leak stuff? Especially if I already ordered a new radiator?

I do have JB weld lol.

I just need the truck to make it to Casey's in the wee hours tomorrow morning, and back Saturday or Sunday. Worse case scenario I'll drive Elvira, but we were going to work on our leaf springs. If I do drive Elvira I guess we could swap the 1" lift block for the SOS 1/2" lowering block.

Hopefully the new Denso shows up in time for install before I was planning to leave for T2S on the 22nd.

Yeah, F the radiator, it's toast. I just wouldn't want that shit all over in the cooling passages of my engine.

Did you plastidip or paint the chrome from the bumper, side mirrors, and side trim? Or just replaced with new all black parts?

Foaming first helps shit break down and run off prior to contact washing (potentially less chance to scratch while washing). Ideally foam it, rinse.it off, foam them hand wash lightly plus it's fun to foam.if ya like the therapeutic nature of the whole process. The hose end foamers are ehh, kinda junky but if ya got a pressure washer I'd go foam cannon. They can be had fairly cheap as long as they don't have someone's brand sticker on the bottle

I used the JB weld. Going to drive Elvira to work tonight and instead of driving straight to Casey's, I'll drive the 20 mins back home and start Penelope up and see if she still leaks around 01:20. Will be 14ish hours to cure

Can't help but think your truck would look pretty badass with the hood and roof (between rack rails) vinyl-wrapped. Maybe matte black to match the grille and carry that line to the back of the cab.

    Dude!

    This! ^^

Heed Noah's warning. Purpose of the product is to fill nooks/crannies/voids. It does that indiscriminantly. What happens if you have a tight passageway from years of buildup, and the leakstop product decides "this is a hole!" ?

I'm a firm believer in leakfix products on the coolant side of things. With lubricants I give some lenience.

If you were to add this, then do a full flush with a couple of rinses in between (with t-stat out) when the new radiator comes in. Or postpone the trip. Missing one trip isn't the end of the world if it means not throwing additives in your engine. Buy a cheap radiator at the LAPS or something and swap it in, then hold the Denso radiator for your next TB/WP change. But check the Denso rad for damage on arrival to be safe.
