Feels like hesitation 2012 5.7

Hope some one can help!
I have a 2012 Toyota tundra TRD Rock warrior had oil changed, and air filter changed then out of the blue when going up hill or kicking down from 6th to 5th if feels like it hesitates, or a misfire but throws no codes and I never feel it for the first 30 minutes or so of driving it as though there is a timer that goes off and once it starts hesitating it doesn’t stop as I go down highway, had spark plugs changed thought it helped but such chance!

 

Sounds more like the transmission to me, what happens if you manually shift to S4? How many miles are on it? Any transmission service?

 

Hopefully you didn’t put one of those oily K&N type air filters in

 

For the plugs…you didn’t get them from scAmazon or fleBay did you?

 

I buy my parts from Oriellys or car quest, my tundra has 230,000 miles on it and it runs like a top, transmission fluid and such was serviced about 60,000 miles ago, and I was thinking the same thing but it does always work like that, once I get the hesitation it’s like it happens at stop and go, and through the other gears but not always the same, you may feel it at taking off then maybe between 5 and 6 and the maybe at 2 and 3, hope I am explaining this so you understand, thanks for the comments thus far!

 

How about reversing slowly up an incline? It may be overall some of valves in your valve body are worn and the line pressure is low for some shifts causing hesitation/delays. Could be something completely unrelated to the transmission too. Ive just worn out 2 transmissions in Tundras and this seems similar.

 

How do you wear out the transmission in a tundra??

 

650hp, no trans cooler, 35” tires, lots of 0-60s haha.

Does it stutter if you raise/suddenly change rpms in park?
