    Hello,
My wife and I are expecting our first in a few weeks.
I tried installing our car seat base in my truck but they floor under the seat seems to protrude too far to allow me to extend the arm at the bottom of the base. Does anyone know if I’m doing something wrong?

I just setup a car seat in our backseat(crewmax) without issue. I can get photos if you need.

I’m something of a carseat expert (jk) and am curious what this carseat looks like, I am having trouble picturing what is going on.

My credentials include getting three across in a 4runner and a Tundra.

Yeah i'm also not sure what arm you're talking about either. I have installed many car seats in mine with no issue. But maybe there is some new car seat tech that I'm not aware of.

Pictures would immensely helpful in clarifying what you're asking OP.

FWIW, I can't believe Toyota didn't bother to put the car seat anchor hooks in the middle of the backseat on these trucks

Here’s how our base is setup…pretty straightforward.

Thank you all for the replies I appreciate it!
Here is the base. When I put it in position for the leg to touch the floor the back of the base isn’t touching the back of the seat.

Oh in that scenario I would just not use the leg. You can get the belts and/or latches crazy tight on the car carry bases alone. You want the base to be as close the back of the seat as possible.

Three across carseat shenanigans for people’s enjoyment:

I’ll give that a shot. In my research I found our local police department and the CHP will do inspections after you install one.

thank you all I appreciate the help! :)

Some hospitals send out someone when you take baby #1 home to verify there’s a car seat and installed correctly (mine did too).

By baby #2+ they stop caring .
