I use it as often as possible.

And yes, I don't have it on the truck, buy my wife's Subaru does. Plus lane keeping, like auto pilot. Not recommended on windy, unmarked mountain roads tho.

    This ^^^.

For me it would be a list rather than a single album, depending on the stage of life. What I find interesting is that for me, music is a constant need and I listen at any opportunity, while some folks never listen to music at all and are completely fine with that.

I initially was thinking "Ride the Lightning" by Metallica, as that album was what actually got me into music in the first place, but I don't think I'd appreciate it the same way with my evolved tastes. It'll sound geeky, but I would say that "Invincible" by Two Steps From Hell would be amazing for me to listen to for the first time, again.

    Should that be winding?

Depends. Did you mean lots of violent air movement or did you mean a wandering path?

Influenced my life, probably not. But I agree with the constant need. I don't do much without a musical background.
It's figured in though for sure.
Met my wife because I was wearing a Rush t-shirt. Then found out that we were at the same Led Zeppelin concert in Cap Center, 1977.
Little Miss Magic by Jimmy Buffett, the father/daughter dance at my eldest's wedding.
Letting You Go by Jason Isbell, father/daughter dance at my youngest's.
End of the World by REM. First open dance at my youngest's wedding. It was on a day some preacher in Texas said the world would end. I even worked into my speech. "The bar's open and I don't have to pay the tab!"

That's how they started, yes. I've heavily gravitated away from lyrics over the last 15 years or so.

Any Fat Electrician fans here? I hated history. Always hated it. School's format of having it drilled into you by repetition, notes upon notes upon notes, and the generally dry nature of it always turned me off. Then I stumble upon The Fat Electrician, and somehow this guy makes people and events of history (Usually US military history) fun and interesting.

Currently rewatching his video about Willis "Ching" Lee. Highly recommend.

What do you think pushed me away from lyrics? Fell hard for a girl who was a walking ipod. She greatly expanded my musical tastes, but when she bailed it was ALL tied to her memory. Music with lyrics became salt in the wound.

Not all construction work is equally enjoyable…

For example, enlarging a drilled hole is boring, but fastening pieces of metal together is riveting.

I use it all the time. The Ferd even has a feature that has it slow down or speed up based on the speed limit signs and/or GPS. The theory is excellent and it works well 95% of the time, but there have been moments that it derps out and thinks the speed liming on the interstate drops form 80 MPH to 55 MPH and that is unpleasant.

i totally agree on both of those. The weights don’t bother me that much though. Reracking other people’s plates. It gives me something to do between sets. While i’m taking a quick breather, i’ll walk around the gym and rerack OPP on machines that aren’t being used. Oh, and just because it doesn’t bother me, it doesn’t mean that don’t see that person as super lazy and selfish.
