Hello i have heard of 2012 posts that say the catalytic converters get clogged from running a supercharger. I am running a harrop supercharger at the stage 2 8psi and even when i first installed it and tuned it, it ran rich from the tune. My truck has a stock trd exhaust and i was wondering if yall suggest i delete the 2 front cats, 2 rear cats, or all of them? Im very confident one of the cats are clogged. Also i think the trd exhaust is a tad quiet but its perfect for a daily.

Current symptoms are huge loss of mpg about 10mpg on the highway when i got 16 before(measured at the tank), unstable idle at a stoplight.

These might be just the ticket for you. I smoked the oem cats on my Tacoma after about a year of being supercharged and tuned with a smaller pulley. My initial replacement setup was cat-less and it sucked. Loud, smelled, altered the exhaust note significantly and was a constant source of CELs. My recommendation to you is, whatever you do make sure it atleast has 2 decent cell count cats in it if you’re going to daily drive it. One thing to note, those down pipes are 3”, so larger than factory and larger than the piping used by the Trd exhaust. It will still bolt right to the Trd exhaust but there will be an abrupt transition there. Might be worth put an x-pipe before the Trd mufflers and a section of tubing to more gently transition the change.

That seems to be the common problem with stock cats while they may be high flow cats (not restrictive) they don't seem to be able to withstand the added exhaust flow and heat from the blower.

You can remove an O2 sensor and run a scope to inspect the cats through the bung.

Depends on your state and how strict they are with emissions inspection. Folks usually delete the rear cats especially if they run headers.

No cats can be rowdy, but sound is in the ear of the beholder.

I had a rattle and misfires on WOT. My driver side primary cat was exploded and in chunks totally blocking flow. Went SPD downpipes and problem solved.

@ARES35 what are you using to get around any CEL’s? Got any links?

I replaced my stock ones after about 20k supercharged miles, they had not failed but I wanted the SPD midpipes mentioned above. I keep them laying around just in case. They pair amazingly with the TRD duals for the perfect sound and volume for my taste, and would be my recommended solution. https://vimeo.com/1030375153

I used HP tuner scanner and editor to clear and checkmark codes. SPD downpipe has highflow cats so no need for foulers/spacers.

I’ve had a lot of setups across several tundras. This is the Chef’s kiss for me. I can’t help myself though, I’ll probably try something else eventually anyway. I always wondered how the corsa catback would sound also with 2 less cats… I had it with the OEM midpipes and it sounded good, but too tame for me.
