Did you get windshield replaced under warranty? I have tried about everything from tape to isolating things to seals. Nothing really makes a difference. I have a very new platinum without tow mirrors. It really seems like the wind citing around the mirror at highway speeds is the issue. But I know my dealer would just say “that’s normal” so I don’t even want to talk to them. I thought I was buying quality. This is the only thing I don’t like. Just pathetic.

So I also had the mirror whistle noise on anything past 45mph from day 1 of getting the vehicle. I tried every remedy i could before taking it to the dealership from tape to stuffing foam in the seams. The tape worked as i could pin point where it was coming from but I don't think i should have to drive with tape on my mirror on a brand new truck. Finally was able to take it in and drive around with a technician in the vehicle and explained/showed them exactly where the whistle was coming from. Mine was from the seam where the mirror folds. I showed them while driving that if i stuck my hand out the window and covered the seam of the mirror the noise would go away. Same if there was tape covering the entire seam.

After test ride with the tech, they replaced mirror assembly and problem solved. NO MORE MIRROR WHISTLE. I'm happy now

took in for 2nd key might as well mention the wind noise concern. Exactly what I expected, either cannot duplicate customer complain or it’s normal. They told me it’s normal. I have played the warranty game long enough to know at least there is a code or physically broken/leaking/dripping, they won’t do a damn thing about it.

Traded my 2022 Tundra Platinum in last week and never had trouble with wind noise... got a new 2024 Tundra Platinum and holy crap once I hit 65+ the noise at my driver side mirror is so loud I can hear it over my radio. It's for sure the mirror as the noise goes away when I fold them in while driving or put my hand in front of the gaps. It's 100% coming from the same spot others have mentioned (@jeffcoseo, @Markysharky and a few others). It seems like it is hit or miss if the dealership will try to fix it for you. Does anyone know the exact part number/name so when I bring mine in hopefully they will look at it for me?

Just wanted to say thank you for this! Had high pitch whistle from my driver side area originally thought was the A pillar. Turns out the exact spot you showed was the fix for me! After I went mad taping off every panel gap and testing. Was driving me insane for a new vehicle. Dealership tried to blame my window tint as the problem even when I documented the issue the week I bought my truck lol. Concerning these issues are still happening even with my 2025 SR5

Hi there, brand new to this forum. I just picked up a 2024 limited TRD with tow mirrors. Truck had 10k miles when I bought it. It was super super windy when I test drove it, so I never assumed the wind noise I heard was anything other than just the day being windy.

But, now as I've driven it for a couple days, it's driving me nuts. At about 45mph you can clearly hear the wind differently. I fold the mirrors in and the sound goes away. Fold them back out and you hear it.

Unfortunately, I just spent some time taping seams and taping around the window seals and the sound does not go away at all. Mine isn't so much a whistling sound, it's just like a really distinct white noise wind at a higher pitch. It's absolutely enough to notice and drive me nuts.

I have an appt on Monday with the dealership... guess we'll see if they decide to try and be helpful or not. I wish some of my tape had worked so I could start pinpointing this but nothing has made a difference so far

Following up - dealership called me and apparently there’s a TSB for a fix on this for the mirror causing excessive wind noise. I’ll see if I can get the number for it

I don't believe we have much info on the tow mirrors noise on this forum. Unfortunately

Seems odd that the tow mirrors AND non tow mirrors would both have the same issue. But, my wind noise is awful and when I fold the mirrors in, it subsides 95% but I havent found the source of the noise via tape yet. It's been crappie, raining weather here.

Latest update: dealership had to order the parts, referenced TSB 0020-25 for the fix on the mirror. Hope this helps someone!

I’ll find out next Friday, forgot to ask what the TSB involves.
