Tried the search but didn't find something specifically covering the following.

    - I want to have a flat, soft or hard, roll/trifold, or other cover to use most of the year. But I want to be be able to easily remove it. Only criteria on that is I want it to be as water tight as possible.

    - Want to be able to remove the flat topper and install softopper/bestop etc for the longer trips. So the flat top hardware can't interfere... like no glued on weather stripping.

Question is what flat cover is easiest to remove to facilitate switching between flat cover and softopper? I know the softopper I will have to install the rails everytime which is fine. This doesn't seem like too much pain.

I feel like the oem bakflip might be the best choice for easy removal but also read its not the most water proof option as its low profile vs 'on top' of the bed rails... its also expensive. I saw Fastop has a dual solution but doesn't seem widely recommended.

    Any recommendations?
