I was ready to go to bed 2 hours ago, but it was too early.
I have to force myself to stay up until closer to midnight.
Seems that no matter what time I go to sleep, I wake up 6 or 7 hours later.

So to go to bed at 9:00, I'd be wide awake at 4 or 5 am...

When working I have to get up a 4:00 and then see the sun come up on the way to Little Rock.
I didn't mind that, I rather enjoyed it.

Although being off work since January and not going back until August, there is no point of getting up that early.
I get up at 8 when the wife leaves for work, to a nice, quiet, and peaceful house.

Besides that, I AM the riff raff of the forum.

You'll notice crime is trending up again... Last year they only had 30 homicides, 72 kidnappings, 8,600 assault crimes, 275 armed robberies, and 2,745 stolen vehicles....

This year (so far) 1st quarter... 22 homicides, 64 kidnappings, 8,007 assault crimes, 228 armed robberies, and 2,163 stolen vehicles so far...

So, in other words crime is trending waaaay up right now... Final numbers for this year look like they'll triple or quadruple last years...

The good news is it's a still a far cry from what we saw in the 2016-2018 ear... where we were keeping w/Chicago for murders for the first 3/4 of the year (I think that was 2017-2018)....

2019 was the first time it started trending down from those really high years... For reference those, here is what it looked like in 2019:

84 murders; 1,439 rapes; 2,118 armed robberies; 7,311 vehicle thefts; and a total of 8,854 violent crimes...

2017 was the height of it all, and a fun time to be working...

205 murders; 1,296 rapes; 3,436 armed robberies (10/day); 8,186 stolen vehicles; 13,102 burglaries; and a total of 10,071 violent crimes...

None of those stats include Henderson or North Las Vegas stats which accounted for an additional 32 murders; another 900 armed robberies; another 3,000 burglaries; another 2,000 stolen cars; another 200 rapes; another 3,000 total violent crimes

In 2019 Las Vegas city and unincorporated was sitting at a population of 1.6 million; Henderson was at 300,000 and NLV was at 240,000....
