Windy AF here. There was a school bus that overturned on I10. They haven't given a cause yet, but I wouldn't doubt if the wind had something to do with it.

Perception(s) of having lived in places where it wasn't legal and now living in a place where it's highly 'encouraged' hasn't really changed my perception(s)...

In my humble little opinion, alcohol probably causes more damage, death and overall turmoil then MJ (to both users and those around them).

Currently I live in a place where there are significantly more weed stores than quality resturants in our small town... For reference I just did a map search for 'dispensery' from my location. The map showed the center 'town' and about 30 miles north and 30 miles south of me. Town in the center about 10k population w/the county sitting at about 70-90k population depending on time of the year. Within that 60 linear miles of coastline, we have 46 'dispenseries'...

Living here people are definitely 'slower' and not necessarily in a 'dumb' way, but in general their functionality and processing is slower than what I am used to. There is also a significant lack of drive, determination, and very little urgency in a large portion of the population. I'm sure some of that is just the nature of living in a smaller town on the coast; some of that is based on the PNW lifestyle; but I also have to think that accessibility to MJ may be playing a huge role in that as well :notsure:

Not all, but many people that smoke or 'eat' MJ seem to care less about the food they eat or the amount of exercise they receive... that thing that makes you sleep well, that makes you 'chill', etc... can also make for an easy pathway to laziness (again, not all, but it seems this way for many)...

Yes, I'd far rather deal with some on MJ than someone on alcohol, speed, crank, heroine, fentanyl, bath salts, etc...

Yes, I also know it's allegedly healthier than much of what we can buy at our stores and many fast food resturants...

But, if much of what is being sold legally is no longer in 'home grown plant form' and is engineered, regulated and sold by the state, is it really still the healty herbal product that everyone thinks they are consuming :notsure:

Just some personal opinions and thoughts...

You ever start watching a show on Netflix, Amazon, whatever and finish the first episode like, ah meh, but slightly curious so you figure I should watch episode 2 just to be sure. After #2 you're not really into it but curious enough to watch #3. After falling for this trap, you feel compelled to watch the whole season just because you're already invested. After completion of season 1 you're thinking, this is kinda dumb, but shit, there's a second season, maybe it'll get better.
After proving the definition of the word insanity by trying the same thing over and over you continue through season 3, 4, to the end. When it's all finally over you say to yourself, that was a really stupid show and at the same time realize that you still invested multiple days and 30, 40, whatever episodes into something that was a fucking waste of time and made you feel like a moron.

I do it often. I am not very smart.

You really need a girlfriend/wife. :smack: I told the wife I wanted to build this in the backyard, she gave me the side-eye and walked away, but she didn't say no.

It's a weird area. Huge multi-million dollar home/properties that were booming for a brief period with many that fell in 2007 with the rest of the housing crash in the LV valley. Several homes were had for pennies on the dollar and turned into porn shooting locations, dope houses, huge pimp/hooker estates or rentals. The grass on the golf course was allowed to dry up, and the fountains at the entrance were really the only things left running (although they went dry for a bit as well)...

Once the market started to correct itself, the large lots of land that had been purchased by developers quickly turned into condos or a bunch of smaller (1500-2500 sqft) homes stacked on top of each other in random smaller gated communities that went for as low as 300k...

So, the rich folks out there got a bit frustrated w/their 'paradise' being overrun by middle-class folks

When I left that area is was starting to thrive again, and the 2 main 'exclusive' communities were doing well again.... but they really do their best to not allow the riff raff in or allow them to co-mingle

Celinie Dion and her husband lived out there... she was a PITA, but he was cool the couple of times I had interaction w/them.

Why, you thinking about retiring there :boink:
