Hello, 2025 tundra sr5 non hybrid 2500 miles I have a rough idle in gear only runs smooth in park. Anyone have this issue? Any resolve? I have not had it back to the dealer yet. Thank you

Just a thought. If it runs smooth in park and a little rough when in gear but not driving i.e. at stop light, it could be that the added extra load of having the transmission engaged is pulling your idle/RPM down too low. If that's the case look and see how much your RPM drop when putting it in gear. if this shows up, while holding your brake give it just a slight amount of gas to bring the RPM up to see if it smooths out. If this works I would think the idle just needs to be adjusted. In the old days you could just adjust the set screw on the carburetor to bring up the idle. I don't know but suspect it would have to be done by tech with scan tool.

Thanks it’s dropping while in gear I’m looking for a diagnostic tool so I can raise it 100-200 more. And your right in the old days things were much more simple. Thanks for the response nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you too. :) . I would think that this would be a warranty item as it is a new truck.

My 24 idles kinda rougher when in gear. It’s just enough to make you say wtf why is it doing this. I know there is something with it switching to direct injections maybe that is the cause?
I haven’t really dug into it much cause it’s about on par with the rest of annoying things about this truck lol

just put it in D and hold the brake with your foot?instead of the key, did you use the ignition button for this method?

Yes foot on brake, push button ignition, just follow the video but using the push button ignition and ignore anything they do with the parking brake. If you do it right you will hear the ECU make a buzzing noise this signsls in its reset mode.
