I wouldn't be too worried about having a full JTL. It's only 3oz of fluid. Be glad it's doing its job well for you.

    From their website:

    J&L 3.0 Oil Separator

    3oz Capacity
    Solid billet construction.
    Limited Lifetime Warranty

For the tundra I got the expansion add on and my J&L is 85% full with the add 3oz canister, when i do my oil change @ 4500-5000 miles so about 5-1/2oz sludge I have a 21 crew Max with under 50,000 miles I also charge the pvc valve every 10-15,000 miles

Mercedes uses an oil/air separator system. Not a water/oil separator system. All catch cans capture vapors which can contain water molecules.

The NA Tundra does not need a catch can. The 3UR-FE is a port injected engine which will keep the intake valves clean. Personally I don’t understand this fascination with catch cans and adding another maintenance item onto the engine which could cause more issues and does absolutely nothing.

As you know, my VQ38 is DI and the CC "may" delay the walnuts. How are things going up there? I'm rarely on Club Frontier. Boring. Ha!
Not worried tho. Regular oil changes. Good gas.

The DI VQ38 I certainly can understand the concern. For myself I never used a catch can on that motor. I cleaned it with CRC intake valve cleaner once when I had it. How’s the Frontier doing? I haven’t been back on that forum for quite awhile. You know the history of why I’m back in the Tundra. To offset the mpg we bought a 2024 Maverick hybrid which is used for the small truck things. Fantastic mpg at around 45 around town.

I've run catch Cana for decades. It keeps more than just the valves clean.

Never seen any issues on the 3UR-FE with a dirty anything.

I'm at 48k on the Frontier. No major issues. Almost paid off. Keeping it. The Maverick has its niche. Especially at 45mpg. Ha! I may pm you from time to time. You know your stuff Dave! :fistbump:
