So, i royally messed up. Long story short, saw a video of a guy who put a bottle jack between upper control arm and top of wheel well to slide a strut in after with a level kit puck. i think i really messed up because the bottom hole of the strut didn’t quite line up and now my control arm seems bent and ball joint is wedged in the spring of the strut. any ideas of where to go from here. Tear it all apart and put all the parts back together. Hopefully it’ll go together right. There’s a lot of utube videos showing how to do it. It may be a little time consuming, but take your time and you’ll be fine.

First of all, holy shit the least of your concerns should be lifting it. That shock, and entire front suspension, looks like it came out of a shipwreck from 1871.

Just put weight on the truck and it will probably pop over and be fine.

Also buy new shocks, maybe buy a whole new truck. I would seriously go over everything and make sure you find all the rust holes and make sure there's nothing about to catastrophically fail because it's barely attached. I can't even tell if OP is a real post because of how gnarly the rust is and throwing a spacer lift of all things on it.

That 3-4” top coilover spacer is the reason why your UCA is able to droop far enough to dip down into your coil springs like that. As @snivilous said, once you put weight down it will likely pop that UCA back over. However, it won’t change the fact that this condition will occur every time you fully droop your suspension.

Aside from everything else going on in this post, I do enjoy how you can see the footprint of the bottle jack stamped into the top of the fender well. Wish I had some compatible spare parts to help this fella out!

YES. For the safety and well being of yourself, your passengers and all of the traveling public replace those shocks (and coil overs while you're at it).

Call Colton (memario1214). His phone # is in his sig line. Let him get you fresh and safe parts.
