Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the 3rd gens are coil sprung and SSI expects to have SumoSprings for the 3rd gen later this year.

Personally, I think they are perfect for occasional tow-ers. I have had mine in for a couple years and never looked back. I actually forget I had them over the last winter.

I went black because I met a guy with a new 2.5 gen at the time who swore by them. He had black on his and said the unloaded ride quality didn't change. I'm inclined to agree with his review.

Also, I got mine as a 1 year old set for $100. No risk really.

The only downside is having to undo your U bolts that are supposed to be replaced every time you remove them. Metric ubolts are hard to find and OEM is expensive, so most just retorque the originals like I did.

There are no Sumo Springs for 3rd gen Tundras. I had the blue ones on my Taco and the ride quality didn't change.

No release date yet for Tundra G3, I checked recently.

Turns out I don't need them anyway, my WDH seems to be taking care of squat so I'm good.

It will be good till it isn't.... exceeding your payload by about 50%.

Just think this guy only exceeded his payload by about 10% to 20%. That configuration Ram was about 5850 lb payload and it was estimated the camper and all its gear was around 6500lb to 7000lb.

The bag are the reason that your rear axle is over weight.
I ran bags and then Sumo Springs. Now I run nothing because the suffer your rear suspension is the more the rear axle will support. WDH need some defection of the rear of the truck to distribute the weight. That is unless you want to jack up the front the the trailer to the moon every time you hook up the bars.

@billmcg you deleted your posts??..but they are quoted here..... Yep estimated weight...At least you know you're well over weight and have proof you knew, so that's makes it better??? Those damn pesky conservative engineers... Wish you the best of luck out there dude and sounds like someone needs a 3/4 ton truck!

Tint and wheels. Decked box in the bed. S and B Cold Air filters under the hood. Shiftpower throttle response controller.
Payload capacity???? I thought that if it fits in the back of the truck it is okay to haul?????

Geez truck guys online are cuntier than 13 year old girls. I just decided that posting about my setup is like talking to cops- there's no upside so why do it? I'd take issue with your assertion that payload is set by pesky conservative engineers. It's set by pesky government regulations. The engineers just provide a conservative number to get the government off their backs. But OK you win dude. I'm packing up and driving cross country to Florida. Again.
