So, the red arrows are depicting vehicles stopped at a red light, which would be fine if it were only 2 or 3.. yes, both directions of traffic would be flowing well from both side w/uninhibited turns occurring. The problem (other than the obvious driving on the wrong side of the freaking road concept, is when there's more than 3 vehicles stopped at those lights... It quickly causes back-up and the lanes that should be flowing are now occupied w/stopped vehicles waiting for a red to turn.

It's like many 'therories' in life... they look great on paper, but once we add real life variables coupled with the stupidity/impairment of several on the road, it's a freakin' mess

Unless plans change I'll be going to my first indoor gun range today. I've been shooting since I was a wee lad but gravel pits are, and always have been the range of choice. If their selection is cool enough I'll rent something. I'm hoping they have a 500 Smith and Wesson but I'm down to shoot something suppressed as well.

If you are going solo, make sure you take a gun with you as some ranges won't rent weapons to people at the range by themselves who didn't bring a weapon of their own with them.

If you're gonna shoot suppressed make sure you by some subsonic ammo to get the true experience. The problem w/indoor ranges is that you're so close to others that you're still going to have to wear ear pro, so you kinda lose some of the experience...

If you ever make it out to the OR coast, hit me up, and we'll go play... :infantry:

The problem with things that work fine, like intersections, is that nobody can get paid to redesign them. We have to have something new and improved so a civil engineer can justify his raise or continued employment.

I'm gonna take that a step further and guess that it was someone's thesis for their master's in engineering...

Edit: Disregard, I was able to watch it.... Seen that video... I will say that I've had a lot of cycling issues with running subsonic rounds through my G44. It's the only Glock I've ever owned that is picky about ammo (I understand subsonic and running a pistol suppressed is a different beast, but....)

I think a lot of .22lr pistols will have some trouble with low velocity rounds. Betting some spring customization needs to be done to accommodate that. I can't imagine that pistol has many original parts.

I have a Ruger Charger with a can, with no other component changes, and it'll cycle just fine with subsonic; but I have a Ruger 22/45 that I put a Volquartsen extractor in, which I'd think would make it accept a wider variety of ammo, but now it won't cycle anything but high velocity rounds. Go figure.

I have always found normal 22lr (not specifically subsonic) is fine in a pistol with a can as I don’t think there’s enough time for the round to go supersonic before leaving the barrel.

The report from a normal velocity round versus a low velocity round in the Charger is drastic. Normal rounds still snap pretty sharply, and for everyone not directly behind the firearm I'd still recommend light hearing protection (I'm a bit of a pussy about it because I have tinnitus and wouldn't want anyone else cursed with it). But with the subsonic rounds, there just isn't much there. I have a binary trigger on the thing, too; so it's pretty fun.

The can is a SilencerCo. Sparrow, so a more robust product might produce a different result with normal ammo.

I have the same can actually. Must be more round specific.

Think we need to do some testing. For science

For the 500, only load one round to start. I've seen it flip back into people's faces and fire a second round along the way.

    Stay safe.
