I looked at a few gx460's but they are just kind of boring to drive. I only test drove the LC250 for 3 miles, but it felt sportier and more engaging.

What of TX500h? We actually considered it, a friend has the TX500 and it is actually the size we want/need, but price is about $79k with additional, so OTD is closer to $90k, but feels much more solid than a Seq...

Look at a Grand Highlander Platinum with the Hybrid Max. It’s the same thing for $16K less.

Size-wise? Am concerned that engine size is too small for such heavy vehicle...
Wife did say she wanted a "Lexus"....lol
EDIT: nvm. Just finished a meeting so had some time to do a quick search, GHP HM is maybe 4 horses short of that TX500h, but internal size should be roughly the same.

They all are kind of a snooze fest but as long as it lasts I don’t care as it allows me to put money into my fun car.

I test drive one and decided to get a 4Runner instead. The land cruiser is a mean looking vehicle, what kind of mpg are you averaging?

Average is probably around 18 MPG but winter blend fuel, snow tires, and idling to warm up don’t help.

It does about 22.5-23 MPG highway at 75 MPH on the stock Dunlops in temperate weather.

Great, thorough report… I like it. And far less hate than you would receive on Ih8Mud for your experiences. The look of the 250 is growing on me as well. Glad you are enjoying it.

I’m sure the Ih8Mud posers hate anything that isn’t an 80 series.

It’s not a real Land Cruiser. Blah blah blah.

Yet all they do is post mental masturbation about off roading and over landing, while in reality staying on pavement 99.999999995% of the time.

Plus they’re mad about something they weren’t buying new, when the 100 and 200 series trucks were offered in North America. I guess they wanted to be able to jerk off about a 300 series they also wouldn’t buy in real life.

I don’t care much what that crowd thinks to be honest.

Toyota could have called it a Prado, and I still would have bought it. They could have named it “Pussy Wagon” in big chrome letters, and it would still be a nice well rounded and useful family 4X4.

In other news I had the windows tinted today and on the way home from Rapid City enjoyed a very hard tailwind blowing from north to south. Southbound at 75MPH with cruise control set, I reset the fuel economy meter and got 26.6 MPG for a 45 mile leg.

This will not be repeatable but it was still pretty neat.
