If you guys want to see a true clusterfck of road design take a look at a DDI (diverging diamond interchange)... They built one of these on a fwy overpass in Henderson, NV which was suppose to relieve rush hour tension and back up as people were entering and exiting the fwy. It was a freakin' mess most of the time and the part of those intersections that were normally flow through became backed up as well. Also, it didn't help that there were approximately 7-8 bars within 1/4 mile of that area, so late drunks would end up confused and frequently became wrong way drivers (it wasn't uncommon to see non-intoxicated folks, that couldn't follow instructions, end up wrong way on the stupid thing too)...
