Well the VF Tuner once removed is supposed to be undetectable so it won’t void warranty if you remove it prior to service.

Not sure about those maps, I thought the reason for a box like a VF Tuner was to trick the ECU since its locked?

There is no box with VF tuner, it’s all direct ecu/tcu flashing, and your vehicle logs every error code. This system sets off all kinds of codes during the flash so I’m absolutely certain they could tell as there is a log of codes. I can absolutely flash it back to OEM but I am assuming that “undetectable” is a fallacy.

Looks like an OBD connection, close enough for me, lol. Just not something that stays installed?

    Regardless, always that risk

the OBD is just a way to interface with a laptop for flashing. Easily removable and not needed once you’ve flashed everything so it’s not obvious unless you go looking through the code log. Unclear to me how long those are stored but if I can find them, I am sure dealers could too.

The VW realm I was in for a long time had a ECU modification flag called TD1.
If you altered anything on the ECM it tripped that and was non reversible

Ya, I thought about using some super aggressive sticky double sided Velcro but erred on the side of more secure.

Just need to buy a CANM8 interface and reader to link my new light bar in the Pro grille to the high beams.....

How is the paint and plastics holding up going through a car wash every 3-4 days? Hearing that makes me cringe, lol

5100's in process. Perch installed at position #4; +1.8"

    Bilstein 1.jpg

    Bilstein 2.jpg

Question to anyone that has installed 5100's:
What the hell is this washer for?
The hole diameter is way too small for the piston rod.
It does fit over the top hat studs, but can't go there.

The washer is for under the bumpstop, it is a spacer to raise the bumpstop.

Dave - I'm about to pull the trigger on the bumper - do you see anything that would keep me from removing that Mid-tube ? I'd plan to plasma cut /grind and re-coat it.....Did you do the IM lights in or something else ?
Look forward to hearing how your Motor swap goes and hopefully positive feedback on the new smoothness...

No I don’t think so, it appears to just support the lights.
