DC rear attic storage

Has anyone come up with a solution using some kind of pre existing mounting points to mount a roof net in the rear?

I’ve not gotten around to removing the headliner to take a peek at possibilities..

You can always use rivnuts if any open holes exist behind panels

This is a really cool idea, interested if anything comes up. I have a rear 60% seat delete and this could be a great way to add functionality where head height isn't an issue.

 

This is my fairly simple setup for the rear - m6 rivnuts with SS m6 threaded eyelets.

Everything is hidden behind the headliner/panel and the fit/finish is pretty good. I’ll be making some sort of bracket off the front belt area, to keep it high and out the way but currently I’ve just hooked it up to the central pillar grab handles to give you a good idea.

 

Just a little update on this project.. Ended up making some ali eyelet/brackets that sit out past the headliner for easy removal of the net and then added some high mounted eyelets on the pre existing grab handle upper mount. Still not 100% sold on the mount behind the headliner because the sheet metal I placed the rivnuts in, is pretty thin BUT its pretty stout and shits high.
