Removing 3.5 lift

OK searched but cannot seem to find the answer yet.

I am going to remove this ridiculous 3.5 lift and take the truck down to a 2-1. I have the fox shocks and shackle for the 1" in the rear, (it has 2.5" blocks currently)

The front has aftermarket upper A arm for the lift, my question is, will those uppers work to drop the front 1.5 inches, or am I going to have to get stock uppers ?
and I have not figured out if im going with coils to raise the front, or just block yet.

Those uppers will likely still work. Post some pics of your setup.

First pic with the spacer on top of the strut should be an easy remedy with the new kit you have. Upper arms will be fine to re-use for that. The rear blocks are not great, they cause increase in axle wrap and leaf flattening. Better option would be new leaf pack, or an add-a-leaf is preferred here.

 

OK great thanks! I just got the Adjustable shackle for the 1" in the Rear, I wanted leafs but funds at the current time said no lol. Thanks for the info, I only want to do this once and right. I am not a block fan but what was on it when I purchased it last year. my buddys 16 is stock and his rides a little better than mine, im guessing the blocks have a little to do with that.

 

That and likely your shocks are worn beyond their useable life. New shocks will wake it back up.

 

Your 3.5" spacer lift up front is probably what is giving you the "worse ride than your buddies" symptoms vs the block in the rear. Moving to Shackles, 2" coilovers up front and new shocks in the rear will make a world of improvement in that category. Particularly those from Fox. They are known for a pretty smooth ride.

 

I purchased the foxes for the rear, their only good to 1" which is fine, I don't off road just pull my bass boat. the 2in coils in the front will be my next purchase on fri. I would love to have a MT kit as my raptor rode great, I miss that ride and have the look of reywcms truck, I just don't pound the dirt, espc living here in mid Missouri lol.

If you're getting the Fox 2.0 coilovers, typically they are set at 2" out of the box, but they are near infinitely* adjustable between 0-2" as they are threaded height adjustments vs 3-4 clips like you'll find on Bilstein 5100s or 6112s


*obviously not infinite, but many more options of height settings than just 3-4 specified heights like .75", 1.2", 2.3" 3.1" etc..
