I have a spare amber pod I should mount as a chase/dust light, but I don't want to drill into my cap.

    Heyyyyy I represent that :anonymous:
Yaaaa I finally got the gfc bracket, I'm just about out of excuses haha.

How do you feel about using one of your tailgate bolts? On a previous tacoma I used a flat 90 bracket, attached to a couple tailgate bolts, stuck it out towards the rear, then bent it towards the taillight, and bolted a small 90 to the end. Used that for a light whip for a while, I'm sure a chase light would be solid too

That could work. Got any pics?
I wouldn't mind a whip. I'll have to look into this gfc bracket. Never heard of it

I have Boston this year, 4/21, so definite no. But, as my boys get older the possibility opens up to actually show up. The rig is definitely good enough to handle it. Maybe next year, once the dust settles from the shackle removal.

Also don’t be hell bent on GFF, it’s cool to watch but it’s not a must if you want to get your teeth dirty on trails elsewhere. Also people do night runs…..nightly. You just gotta keep your ear to the ground depending what your into.
I bring my life(family) with me so we do a lot of camp chillin, and thats some of the best times too. The
Community is awesome no matter the time of day.

Yep. I even told the wife to pack ice cream and treats in the freezer for the kids. And, of course, I'll have whiskey and beer for the adults while doing said camp chilling.

Sorry might have confused you here, gfc is go fast camper and what I was just gonna use on my camper for the chase lights. The tailgate bracket I made with 2 Home Depot parts for maybe $20

Crap pic but hey it’s 7 years old. Same idea but had a cb antenna on this one and looks like maybe a Firestik antenna mount with a generic flat Home Depot 90 bracket.

Niceeeee sounds pretty cool. Just gotta talk the gf into it now haha

I forgot GFF is an hour from camp this year. That might put a damper on my planned festivities.

Not up high. But I've definitely been thinking every which way I could try.

I don't plan to wire the third brake light on the cap. Would be cool if I could convert it somehow like @khooiii

Wait, are you going now, Knabores?

I freakin wish. I'll be very close hiking the Grand Canyon on April 22nd. Then on to page and Zion. Oddly enough traveling with a buddy of mine that is also a Tundra owner, although not an enthusiast. Flying in and renting, so will not have a Tundra with us. Itinerary is full, so no time to hang out at T2S unfortunately. The trip was his big plan, don't want to detour his bucket list items.

If you find a good source, let me know. I usually travel with my tank full when I boondock, but wouldn't mind saving the 300ish lbs. My trailer's tank is towards the front so it adds to the tounge weight.
