Thanks for the response Festerw. These are some good sites, a lot of variety and various conditions for reference.

I "had" to upgrade this winter when my trusty lawn mower stripped out the spider gears in the rear differential when I was clearing an 18" snowfall.
    PXL_20250106_171817768.jpg

Even though I repaired the mower by dropping a spool in the carrier (Deere wanted $400 for a set of 4 spider gears so I took an alternative route) I seized the opportunity to upgrade to a 1025r.
    PXL_20250114_202634642.PORTRAIT.jpg

    ...and immediately bought a grapple
    PXL_20250208_154039070-EDIT.jpg

I am even ready for the next snow
    PXL_20250208_222556641.PORTRAIT-EDIT.jpg

I hope this SCUT is nimble enough to mow with. It is insanely easy to drop/attach the mower, grapple, bucket, or blade and install another attachment on this little rig so I think it will be a nice addition to the property.

In absence of a big trailer and 3/4 ton truck, does anybody have any good ideas as far as having a tractor transported?

I am not sure on the weight, but between the tractor and the trailer, I would imagine I can't haul it with my 2018 Tundra.

I'll have to get it transported roughly 200 miles.

Was curious if you guys had any ideas? I searched the map to see if I could backroads-drive the thing, but the logistics just won't work.

It sure would be nice to know someone with a 2016 GMC 3500HD and a lowboy 24' gooseneck trailer that is in Colorado just south of Denver. :anonymous:

Tractordata.com would help you determine the weight of whatever tractor you’re looking to move, but things like ballast (including any fluid-filled tires) and attachments (including loaders) will be in addition to those numbers, and that can add up quickly.

Even if you hire out the job you’ll need a rough idea of weight. Height may also be a factor, depending on the tractor, if it has a cab…

That is very generous of you ColoradoTJ! I say it half in jest, but I'll PM you the circumstances I'm looking at.

You definitely have the rig to move it. That's a good looking truck!

Welp, our tractor is down for a month or so.... Somehow, the loader is bent and caused the bucket to fall off. The primary owner took it in to the shop before I could see it and already approved the repairs... $10k!!!!!!!

    Fuck...

No kidding for $10k it would've been cheaper to just buy a whole loader.

I already emailed the manufacturer twice... I feel like they took advantage of my old man neighbor... We are going back tomorrow to go through it all again tomorrow. They will hit us with the "they do not take returns" but I am hoping to get in touch with the manufacturer prior to then. This is not a good look for Bad Boy's servicing side....

Still wouldnt buy a green one though

Replaced my 20 year old Kubota this week. I shopped the new Kubota's as I and others have had decent luck with the them. In the end it came down between the Kubota 3902 DT or the Bobcat CT2035 MST.

The Bobcat came with free FEL for paying cash and already had industrial tires where Kubota plus FEL and industrial tires was a whopping 10k more money. That kind of price delta made the decision pretty dang easy. If I was on my tractor every day it might have been a tougher decision as there are things I like better about the Kubota, but no where near 10K better.

So I went to the dealer, I am beyond pissed with how they are treating my neighbor, but trying to help him through it all....

Great videos... like I mentioned, he took it in before I could assist. I would have hit the googs versus taking it in so quickly, and I would have pulled it out as soon asI got that quote. The fact they hit him with a "possibility" list and allowed him to sign for it absolutely pissed me off.... especially since the fist one he signed didnt actually replace the bent parts.

That is just bad business practices...criminal if you really think about it. You can buy a brand new BB for 25,500.00 for that model.

That business would be getting blown up with reviews.

It's got DPF since it's 35hp. Their 25hp model gets by with neither and is on the same frame but I really wanted a bit more HP for some of the stuff I do. The good news is that if it gives me trouble once out of warranty it's of the type that you can just hollow out the DPF filter and go about your business.

I've never run one, but I've heard those old Allis WD45's were legendary. One of the first tractors I ran as a kid was an Allis D12. As a itty bitty, I used to sit on the battery box with my grandfather with a stolen shopping cart seat belt, a ductaped seat cushion and a slow triangle as a back rest. Once I was old enough, I started running that in the hay field pulling the wagon while my older cousins bucked bales.

I am not done yet, waiting to see how this plays out and then I will take more action. I told my neighbor that I would prefer he bring me in the loop earlier if the need ever arises again. I am still trying to find the contact for the owner of Bad Boy but havent made that link just yet.

Beautiful core memory for sure... making me want to make poor financial decisions and go get this now lol

With all the money I "saved" on the replacement tractor it seemed sensible to invest that money into adding rear hydraulics, a hydraulic top link, a storage cage, and two bright orange ammo boxes (on sale!) for some more onboard storage. Follow me for more money saving tips... LOL.

    Very nice work!

I may need to do the ammo can mod with some of my ammo cans. Bad thing is they are full of ammo.
