2021 TRD 295/70/18

so i want to know if a 295/70/18 will fit okay on factory toyota tundra 18”rim on my truck. I have a 2” lift all way around. But I don’t wanna get into wheel spacers or anything. I currently have 275/65/20 on my truck and it clears no problems and the tires would be equivalent to size what i have now on my truck in“ tall. I’m just worried about width of tire is all I don’t want to be cutting my truck apart for tires to clear either. But im assuming i should have no issues with a factory rim. Just wanted to know your guys thoughts and who has done it in here.this is my truck currently on the 65 series tire in the 20”. I just bought a set of 18’s which i like better then then 20’s. Hoping for a little better of a ride to but not sure about that with a 10 ply tire. Thanks.

Stock wheels 60mm offset at 295mm youll be fine but tight, may need to modify the plastics a bit.

 

I have the 20” rims right now, bought a set of 18” OE TRD wheels and had them refinished (pictured) this week actually, haven’t even picked them up from the shop yet. Plan is to go 285/75/18. I’ll also be installing 6112/5160, 1.9 setting. Many hours of reading other people’s experiences and trials, hopeful for a good outcome when I go to put it all together. 295/70/18, from what I read on here, is another popular size that works well. @D line the only thing you'll have to worry about (assuming you purchased Toyota OEM 18" wheels) with a 295/70r18 tire on your truck that has a 2" lift is the proximity to the Upper control arm. Depending on the width of the tire (not all nominal 295s are the same) you could range from ⅜" - ⅛" of space/clearance. I dont know enough about the exact geometry of the front suspension when fully articulated to know if you will have problems, but I ran this setup on my 2014 double cab and drove down some beat forest service roads without issue (Mickey Baja Boss AT which I think are the widest 295).

You will likely have to remove the front forward mudflap "spat", and depending on your skidplate (SR5 definitely trim; TRDOR possibly not trim, TRDPRO no trimming) have a little cut-off wheel party.

How much to refinish? I have the same trd pro rims and got some bad curb rash.

 

$600 for all four to be refinished and repainted. I would call a local rim repair shop, they should be able to quote you pretty quickly over the phone. If it’s just some curb rash, it might be less.
