I would pass because of the lift height. That is more than 2.5-3 inches, which would mean that it is a bracket lift and the crossmember has been cut.

At that price, why not just buy brand new 2025?

The new engines have some issues. The 5.7 is tried and true very reliable.

Sure, but unless you have some sort of plan with the 5.7, at that price point it makes little financial sense to buy a 5 year old truck with no warranty, and I own the last of the 5.7 and dumped more money than I'd like to remember into the truck.

Sure the new V6 has had issues and your seat plastic cover will crack, but so did the 2nd gen when it was introduced, the 3rd gen drives better, more comfortable etc, and has warranty.

If you don’t mind me asking, what did you have to dump money on for?

You can get a new 3rd gen for that price. Probably an SR5, but still. That's absurdly overpriced for a used truck, especially one that's not stock.

My secondary air pump failed 3x, twice replaced by warranty and now it's just permanently bypassed after finding out it's almost $3000 in parts, my taillight cracked twice, first time replaced by warranty, second time I just replaced it with aftermarket stuff.

They are very solid vehicle, I like mine due to sentimental reason, but at that price it better be a mint TRD Pro with low miles or a truck that's nicely modified, economy isn't exactly hot and things are slowing down a lot.

YMMV - My 21 never been back to the dealer even for the free oil changes. Love this truck - will never sell. That said, if you don't plan to keep as a forever truck or at least a 10 year truck, I would get a 2025 3rd Gen with 3 years BTB and 5 years powertrain.

Jerry sells extended Toyota factory warranties through a dealership, as do many other dealerships. He has has the best price for many of us. You can not be eligible for an extended warranty unless you are still under the original warranty. Consensus here is that factory warranties are generally worth it but aftermarket are not.

Found the right deal and driving it 1,300 miles home now! Still hashed out $49k plus taxes and stuff BUT it’s 1794 with less than 5,000 miles!!!
