on the higher sensitivity its too intrusive, but I like it on and keep at the lowest setting, it did kinda save my bacon once. I find the lowest setting very tolerable. but I totally get why others would want it off

My previous 2024 never was doing this stop/start. For ones I never applied full brakes But I was getting messages to apply brakes more firmly.
Also you guys just reminded me, this PCS ones saved me from a collision when in a parking while I was looking for a place to park an old lady just jumped in front of me. If not PCS she would be a pancake.
I vaguely remember that you can setup the sensitivity through setup, but's been more than year ago, so I might be wrong, but I think I set it on medium and it never bothered me

Newbie here...what cable do you need for that? And does that cable work with all other Carista options too?

This works independently from Carista. You place it inline of the switch and wire harness plugging into it.

I just turn it off with the button on the lower left control panel and it stays off start after start. (for 18 mos now) I have to park within 1 foot of my garage door which set it off every time. Many of our local parking lots have hedges at the front of the spots, again slamming on the brakes. I turn it on if on a longer trip for safety but off when parking. I still get the beeper when getting close front or rear and that’s fine.

The lower left control panel button (car backing into a cone symbol) is the Parking Support Brake (PSB), a different function that applies the brakes while parking if anything is near your bumpers. I do have this turned off…and it stays off until you physically push the button again.

The Pre Collision System (PCS) applies heavy brakes immediately and a displays BRAKE on the dash while driving if you get close to vehicles or objects in front of you. On my 2025 Limited this function is controlled through the digital dash display menu and defaults back to ON each time the vehicle is turned off and then on. Carista allowed me to change the PCS setting to stay in the last state.

ya like the other dude said, your talking about the car hitting the little cone button, ya thats off all the time if you park tight in a garage or tow.

the PCS is a totally different system, pre-collision, if you have HUD yogurt a giant red "BRAKE! " lol

I just saw that Carista has a deal on an annual subscription for $29.99. It's a Limited Time offer. I just opened the app with the latest update 9.0 and the offer was there?

Great deal, almost did it, but me thinking: Why do I need it for more than 15 minutes.
Probably will do it anyway

I thought the same thing. When I got it for free for a month I used it. After that, a few times I wished I had it for my other three Toyotas. Won't keep it after this year expires.

I did the 15 minutes worth of changes using the free month subscription. No use for it after that.

I'll give it to a friend who wants to make changes to his wife's new Highlander.

I bought a dongle from Carista and got a free month. Not sure if they still offer that or not.

Thanks for clarification, i'd never figured it out without your advice.
I wander, was it answer to my question or it is how you achieve so high message count?
