    My deepest condolences.
    This is exactly how my grandma left this world. She had been on a decline and we knew it was coming. All of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were able to see her one last time the week prior to passing. Once the last person (grandkid) had arrived she went to sleep that night and never woke up. She left on her terms, even though she was in pain, she got to see everyone that mattered, even if she couldn't remember everyone.

    Honestly being alone and giving yourself time to reflect, grieve and process this is a good space to be in right now. When my mom passed the first week of people offering support was overwhelming. Although appreciated, once time moved on and I came back home, it gave me the space to reflect upon her imprint on my life and I was able to grieve and heal. I still to this day celebrate her birthday. And this was the first year in the 12 years she's been gone I didn't break down and cry. And when the time comes and you're ready, talk to the people in your support system. The burden of loss isn't meant to be carried alone. Sending love and strength your way Adam.
