Well all is good with the 21 trail tundra. Things are a little different than the 13. Sad day to say goodbye to the 13 after 12 years.
So looking at the predator steps. Some reviews online seem to say they bend easily & there are only three mounting brackets which would allow them to bend. Toyota has ones which are $$$ more but can't find any reviews on them. Any feed back would be helpful.
As for folding bed covers I had a Extang on my 13 but had some water issues & so on but worked. I was looking at the gator covers they look pretty nice & it seems like I can use my top rail tie downs. Thoughts?

    Too many, but not enough....
Predators are garbage imo. But, they are cheap since alot of people here take them off.

Congratulations on the upgrade! I think you will enjoy it.

That’s a bummer those steps are trash. Guess it’s not such a bummer I didn’t get them!

How brave are you? I have seen a ton of posts here about this company’s underseat storage options for the rear seat: https://www.esptruck.com/?ref=start&gad_source=1

Some folks skipped the retail boxes and used baking pan trays then put the carpet into the bottom of them. I couldn’t find that thread this morning though. If you’re thinking that sounds like a good idea find that thread for sure before you start.

There are also swing out boxes for the bed that don’t seem as popular: https://realtruck.com/p/undercover-...MIl-ixhI79iwMVLyCtBh2N0SeZEAQYAiABEgJjL_D_BwE this not the right model it’s just for demo purposes, and of course there is Decked truck bed options.

Check out Tyger Auto, have the trax steps. Super solid, great price compared to others, finish still fine, and really like that the bracket is hidden well and doesn’t hang low. Very impressed with them.

    Gotcha on the bed covers
I want one I can take off & install easily & keep my tie down track system & keep water out 90%
I don't have the storage boxes like your bed does kinda wish I did
Thinking the Toyota got a lot of shit about losing interior storage room so they added the boxes but only on the trail editions !!
I think they only produced 5,000 of them I love my cement color. looking forward to getting it accessorized
I will start figuring out all the tech stuff on dash totally different than the 13. cheers!!

The case barely sticks out no more than the wheel well.
I've never removed it although it would be easy to remove.
I have an Undercover Flex with the bed rail system.

I installed OEM bed lights a few years ago, put one in front because of the swingcase.

I replaced them with cheap Amazon strips when one of the LEDs light petered out.
I used 3M molding tape with the product tape for better adhesion.
I stuck them to the bottom of the bed rail.

My truck came with the OEM predator steps and they're rock solid. I'm a big fella, over 300 currently (unfortunately lol) and they don't budge when I step on em

Not sure where these reviews are, but I would personally disagree with their assessment and chalk.ut up to either bad installation or not having an OEM predator step
