I was speaking to buying just the cylinders, not the kit. Sorry, didn't click the link and see what it was.

That said, I'm not the only one passing misinformation ;) I'm fairly certain the kit you bought is only for 2004-2006 DC.

I don't have the part numbers for the kit for other trucks; but anyone wanting to look it up, it's in the EPC-DATA catalog, should be under Body & Interior, in the "Lock cylinder set" section.

And note, the part number for 2004-2006 access cab is different. Starting August 2004 production.

I'm assuming earlier years would include the gas door cylinder too, so that part number would clearly be different as well.

    Those are nice!

Damn this mobile home. Every fucking outlet or switch has outlet pawls on them that grab the backside of the drywall

I have a single switch that's bad, but a new switch that fits is $16

    See link

Anyone got any reccomendations for adding hang boxes with no studs readily available?

Hey you can’t know it all haha I’m kidding, I think you’re right about the older years but the dc has the same number of cylinders as an access cab if I’m not mistaken so it’d still work right?

Don’t they make boxes that have little tabs that you tighten to the back of drywall? Would that work?

Boxes and switches/plugs in trailerhood houses can be janky. One easy way to do it if you need to replace it is to get a regular cut in box and regular plug/switch and plate. Just be sure and shut the breaker off so you don't get zapped.

I'd love to find a kit like this for crackie. Have all the keys match, and save the gas door lock for when I can have that replaced. He needs love.

    That would most definitely work.

I need some old construction boxes then. That'd be easiest since most of the outlets don't have studs. Make it easier in the future to replace stuff with things from the big box store.

Halllllllle yah, I was already on top of the breaker. Everything is clearly labeled on the panel thankfully.

Imma have to look at cut in boxes now

Possibly? I can only speculate. My biggest concern would be the fact the door handles are physically different DC vs AC/RC, so whether or not the cylinders would match due to physical handle differences. I think our tailgate handles are identical in all '04+ though? Ignition, I would hope the cylinder is the same. But you have a DC, and that kit you bought appears to be for the '04-'06 DC so I don't think I'd have concerns.

That’s very true the handles are different I forgot about that, I had to replace a cylinder on my old ac but I forget what it exactly looked like compared to these new ones.

I recommend the pass and Seymore brand. The carlon and cantex brands suck. Same brand for the plugs. Leviton sucks.

Is this box not the cheesiest design? It looks like something you'd get out of a Japanese vending machine.

@The Black Mamba what gold paint did you use on your wheels? Think it would hold up to engine bay duty? Like an intake manifold & valve covers?
