Electric will vary drastically. We are around $125 in winter steadily climbing to $500 in summer.

Water and sewer runs us around $100/month with minimal landscaping.

we have gas dryer, stove/oven, and water heater. It’s around $40/month when not using furnace. In the winter it can touch $100.

it seems some of the burbs from what Im researching, like Oro, Vail, ricon , marana, (ya spelling police , like fucked those up too). have most of what you need without going into Tucson at all?

its like here, you don't want to go into Chicago unless you have to, nor some of the small downtowns like Aurora, etc. those are 200K + and gang banger time

The only reason we go downtown is for events - mostly sports. Hockey games, baseball games, U of A, etc.

99% of the time we stay north of Orange Grove. The east side equivalent would be like east of Wilmot. Out of the riff raff.

Not sure who the providers are down south, but after a full calendar year SRP will average your annual bill so its relatively consistent throughout the year. The last bill is adjusted up/down depending on the previous year's usage.

ok, so not much different than here, Im on a budget plan for natural gas, it gets WAY high in the winter and low in the summer so all year round about $75-$100

electric here gets real high in the summer too, so about $200 year round on a budget plan.

depends on how good of unit you have, insulation, etc. I got a bad ass 2 stage 95% heater a few years ago and it went way down

ya, they do that here as well for natural gas and electric, I like that much more, nice and consistent rather then 50 bucks in the winter and 400 in the summer type peaks..

    good to know

Here is mine. House was built in 1978, so not nearly as efficient as newer. We have no gas at our house, so the electric is everything- cooking, water heater, heating, garage cooler and AC (we keep at 75 in summer). House is just under 2100'.

The planning is solid. It’s the homelessness/drug problem that creates the issues I’ve encountered.

One day eating with a buddy on 4th Ave, some homeless dude pops down his tailgate and gets on his truck. Small example.

ya, I could see in that case, it would be nice compared to some of the areas in chicago though, lol. yikes

I wouldn't have to go anywhere though, just work out of the house.

I like Vail so far and Oro areas

I loved living in Tucson 82-84 (DMAFB) ... heck I was there during that 100 year flood.

Homeless problem is almost everywhere these days in metro areas. In LV my wife was stopped at a traffic light in our first gen Tacoma and felt the truck shake slightly. She didn't see anything around her abnormal in her mirrors until a couple of miles down the road when asshole jumped out of the bed at the next red light she stopped at.

That's the thing, Tucson used to be much better. I've lived here all my life and miss the way it was, too much growth and some stuff I won't mention cause I don't want to have to give myself a 30 day ban.

Apartment complexes seem to be breeding grounds for the destruction of neighborhoods. My grandparents neighborhood was never the same after all the area complexes started to go downhill in the early 90s. It’s too bad as they keep creeping further north up Oracle Road.

Ya I'm sure, we lived off Stella road near that back gate and bone yard. Since my daughter was born there it's kind of a bucket list item to revisit. Mt Lemmon, Old Tucson, Tombstone etc. Fun place.

Yep, you've been over, I'm sure you noticed the apartments on Speedway and/or Harrison depending which way you came. Those are recent after the city changed zoning to allow multi units when it was all zoned single family.

How close are you to downtown?

but ya, things change over time, this used to be cornfields my me, now its built up and crawling with people.

maybe I need to mark up a map with a go , no-go around Tucson, seems to me that its central, south, southwest, no go. north, east, west, southeast - go

Ya weird ... our go to camp site at Willow Beach Arizona just 50 miles SE of Vegas has spectacular sunsets as well. I don't ever recall seeing anything like this in Vegas:)

About as far as you can get. Downtown is at the western edge of town and I'm on the eastern edge. If you're looking in Vail, just head north on Houghton to Speedway and that's where I am.

Your go list is good, but cross out west IMO.
