Hi all. I was changing my plugs and coil packs and noticed that one of my coil packs was melted, I eventually got all the pieces of plastic and metal out and then pulled my spark plug out and it looked bad. It was black and covered in soot. I also noticed that the threads at the bottom were gone and also the little metal part that sparks was also gone. I tried putting in a new plug just to see if the threads would catch and it would not start. What would cause that and what all issues am I facing? Should I just cut my losses and get another motor or how should I go about fixing it. Thanks PXL_20250320_080526757.jpg

Wow, first time I've seen that. Glad @Tundra family was able to help so quickly.

Probably a really dumb question, but how well did it run with a dead cylinder? Did you have a code?

Mr badwrench it was running fine well I say that because at the time it happened my wife was driving and I was outta town working but she said it was running fine and I had not checked for codes because it had been running so good. At the time It quit running she said it just kinda died and said it tinked a few times which now I assume was the bottom part of the sparkplug. But initially when I put the ODB reader on it it came up that fuel pump was out so I dropped the gas tank and changed it but now it's giving a faulty igniter code starting with the plug that's fried.
