Pretty sure police vehicles have extra juice because of all their electronics.

Almost 4 hours without idling and they are barely starting to fade. Side note: woke up to gunshots and there is a crime scene and coroner van at the end of the street, today could be interesting.

turns out im not the only one. Megalophobia is the fear of massive objects, for me its big ass buildings.

then there is "the call of the void" its that sensation of wanting to jump from somewhere real high.

i didnt know those were things and thought i was just weird

cross reference for the win. I can never get parts for my Torino but if I tell him it's a F100 theyll pull it right off the shelf.

We used to have a guy that started a clutch shop out of his garage in Louisville. This old dude could just look at your old one & tell you what it came off of & what other cars it would work on. He would resurface your flywheel while you waited (literally took 5 min.) And give you a new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, alignment tool, and resurface your flywheel for under $100.

That place is still there, working out of same garage, but the old guy is long gone. His son runs it & they sell new stuff now that's imported. Everything changes..

Reminds me of Gen Star. Old guy would rebuild an alternator with a cigarette hangin from his mouth while you waited.

We had our version of that guy up here for decades. Starters and alternators, that's all he did and had a thriving business.

Toyota has to compete for customers in the car market still. Truck people are way more loyal. People that are gonna buy Tundra and Tacoma are usually pretty set buying those trucks. I feel like you have to talk someone out of buying a Toyota truck but have to talk someone into buying a Toyota car.

had to find a new spot for the night, thought i was clever by parking at the emergency room garage (they are used to cars coming and going all night so I blend right in) the mistake was not knowing the helipad is on the roof of the garage, and they stay busy ALL NIGHT

The last project I was on was right next to Harbor View Medical Center in WA, we parked in their parking garage under the helipad and no joke it’s loud. I would watch them fly in and land to unload patients while I was working up on the roof of our building. Never realized how many medical emergencies requiring air lift, it’s crazy all day and night everyday.IMG_0104.jpg

Harbor View is the only trauma 1 hospital in the northwest I do believe. They get patients fro. All over that smaller hospitals can't handle. Next closest trauma 1 hospital is in California I do believe.

same with Banner Thunderbird, they get people flown in from all over the state, I think the exception is the ones getting transferred to Phoenix children's hospital.

Phoenix children's is an awesome facility!!

Yes that is correct, if you are in Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska, you are going to Harborview. Sometimes I could actually listen to the scanner after hearing about bad traffic accidents on I-5 and then watch for the flight for life coming in from whatever direction. They would offload and go straight back out for the next one. Much respect to all of the first responders and Medical teams there for sure!
