Engine Light - P0441 and P0455 codes

    Hey folks, engine light on, plugged in diagnostic reader and getting the P0441 and P0455 codes.

    I replaced the purge valve with OEM. Unfortunately, the engine light returned after about 50 miles. The gas cap looks fine...could replace it I reckon just in case. Otherwise, seems I'll need to check the hoses.

    2016 Limited with 93k miles

    Gas cap is usually the first thing to trigger those 2 codes (I'd look their first); sometimes they just don't get the required seal (I'd go OE on this part also as I've had issues w/auto part warehouse brands in past).

    You've already handled the next step which would be purge valve...

    Follow-up....so replaced the gas gap with OEM and replaced the purge valve with OEM, looked at all the hoses. No gas odor, easy gas fillup....I am baffled. Seems like I am down to the charcoal cannister. Disappointing issue with just 94k miles.

    I drive it on weekends...maybe 5k miles per year. True, I do sometimes add gas after the first click.

    But I am not experiencing the symptoms associated with a faulty charcoal cannister. Is there such a thing as a charcoal cannister sensor that could be malfunctioning?

    Well, as it turns out, mice ate the lines coming off the top of the fuel tank. Not a cheap repair.

    So many guys are having problems w/rodents these last couple of years... Hopefully insurance covered it for you at least, and thank you for the update :thumbsup:

    How did you diagnose this, did you have to drop the tank to inspect the wiring (obviously)?
