What's a good,easy source of electrical power after key turned on for an accessory.

Hi all, I am an electrical noobie, I have a 2024 SR5 TRD off road. I have to install an air bag compressor. I am looking for a wire who have power only when engine is running. It would be great if this wire is near the battery side, Thanks for your help.

There’s a a good size power source to the 7-Pin trailer plug for trailer battery charging that’s Ign. powered. On my prev trucks it’s been 20A. I’d tap into that. Find the 7pin plug schematic on the web. Common for all 7-pin connectors.

 

This fuse is a blank spot right in front of the battery under the hood that you can tap into. Powered when ignition is on. I have OEM front grille marker lights powered here.

Shouldn't need an inline fuse in this case if you do an add-a-fuse tap like mine.

Another alternative would be to use the seat heater circuits...for those of us who are poor and don't have them.
