I have a non-TSS truck that i bought a 2020 honeycomb grille for. In order not to spend $300 on the radar emblem, I found this non-radar one on Ebay that references Tacoma, but has the same part number for the Tundra (53141-71010). Fit for Toyota Tacoma 2020-2024 Front Grill Radar Emblem 53141-71010 USA stock | eBay. The emblem is the same exact size, and snaps into place, but it fits proud of the emblem surrounding, and sort of wobbles. I havent put the screw in it to secure it yet, but something still seems off. Is the Tacoma and the Tundra emblems the same part? Am i missing something?

My guess is it’s not sitting flush because it’s an eBay knockoff definitely not oem based on the listing. The oem emblem is expensive but it’s the way to go. That said I’m not sure if oem Tacoma and Tundra share the same emblem, maybe someone else can confirm.

    Is the honeycomb grill oem?

U need a 90975-A2014. the best deals are the ones with broken tabs, I made mine work.

I refuse to pay for the 90975-A2014 when I don't have TSS. Would rather make a $35 knockoff emblem work. All the tabs are an exact match to an OEM emblem, and the grill is not OEM but all the tabs match up perfectly. May end up just gorilla glueing or something.

Maybe try using a heat gun. Put something under the grille (especially behind where the emblem goes) and see if with some heat you can seat the emblem.

I see what you are saying, it looks like it should fit. As in, you don't have the other emblem that wouldn't even line up with that grille. Just looks like something is keeping it from fully seating. Since you don't have a sensor to worry about, you can go old school and just find a way to make it fit.

Have you tried installing the fastener in the one location? Maybe that will be enough to force the emblem to suck down against the grille.

Good thought, I'm worried the clear acrylic will get ruined with a heat gun though. I will try to screw it down but if that doesnt work, I think shaving the tabs might do the trick and maybe a little 3M tape. Does anyone know if the emblem is supposed to have a slight concave to it? I may go to the dealer tomorrow and compare with an OEM in the parts dept.

Heat the grille first, not trying to melt it just warm the plastic (currently in Texas it's been 80's so you could just leave it in the sun for a bit depending where you live). And then try to insert the emblem. I'm not sure the tabs are you issue, it's hard to tell but it looks like the edges of the emblem (left and right) are fouling the grille and not letting it seat.

What's weird is the tabs click in like they are supposed to. If it was not seated, then the tabs wouldn't click in. It could be deformed a bit, but I've looked at all the OEM emblems and they also have a slight concave to them. I will try to see if its something obvious when I get home and report back
